The Council of Arab Information Ministers adopted a resolution supporting Lebanon’s Ministry of Information, at the ministry’s request, with particular emphasis on strengthening and developing the country’s radio broadcasting sector.
Resolution No. 595, adopted on November 4, 2026, followed a review of a memorandum submitted by the Council’s General Secretariat and a memorandum from Lebanon’s Permanent Delegation, No. 360/J/2, dated May 14, 2026, as well as interventions by participating delegations.
The decision came in response to needs outlined by Lebanese Minister of Information Dr. Paul Morcos, alongside subsequent correspondence and consultations.
The resolution called on Arab member states, organizations and media-related federations to provide Lebanon’s Ministry of Information with essential support to fulfill its responsibilities, particularly by strengthening the radio broadcasting sector and enhancing its capacity to address current challenges.
