Hezbollah’s Media Relations Office has categorically denied allegations by the interior minister of Yemen’s so-called Southern Transitional Council that the group has experts in Yemen who are involved in directing military operations and developing the military and training capabilities of the Houthis.
In a statement, Hezbollah described the allegations as entirely baseless and unsupported by any evidence.
The group said the Yemeni people have the capabilities, resources and expertise needed to defend their country and sovereignty against any aggression, threat or blockade, adding that they do not need support or intervention from anyone. It said Yemen had demonstrated this in confronting U.S. and Israeli aggression and in supporting Gaza.
Hezbollah also stressed that serious and responsible dialogue among Yemenis is the only viable way to resolve disputes and preserve the country’s unity, sovereignty and stability. It said such dialogue would help thwart what it described as efforts by its enemies to fuel conflicts among peoples and fragment countries across the region.
