President Aoun to Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council: We reject any individuals or groups interfering in Yemen’s affairs
President Joseph Aoun spoke by phone with President of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council Rashad Mohammed al-Alimi, and reaffirmed Lebanon’s commitment to Yemen’s sovereignty, rejecting any interference by individuals or groups in its internal affairs, or any activities that threaten its security, stability and the safety of its people.
During the call, Aoun stressed that Lebanon stands alongside the Republic of Yemen and its brotherly people, expressing hope for the return of stability, security and prosperity, the strengthening of national unity, and an end to the suffering of the Yemeni people.
Al-Alimi thanked Aoun for his position and Lebanon’s solidarity with Yemen, wishing Lebanon continued security, stability and progress, and the Lebanese people well-being and peace of mind.
