Haykal attends live-fire drill in Brital
Lebanon Army Commander General Rodolphe Haykal attended a live-fire training exercise in the Brital highlands carried out by the Fourth Land Border Regiment and other ground units, with the participation of the Lebanese Air Force.
Haykal later inspected the Fourth Land Border Regiment command, where he inaugurated an operations room and reviewed its modern equipment used for missions, particularly border monitoring and protection. He also inaugurated a memorial honoring the regiment’s fallen soldiers.
Praising the troops’ professionalism, Haykal stressed the importance of continuous training and coordination among units, noting that the Army command’s primary objective was to develop the institution’s capabilities through its own resources while securing necessary support from friendly and brotherly countries.
We seek through our efforts and sacrifices to preserve Lebanon’s security and internal stability, Haykal said.
Addressing the soldiers, he added: Whoever does not resemble his Army does not resemble his homeland.
We will not abandon our fundamental missions in defending every inch of our territory, Haykal affirmed.
