Cabinet meets… what’s on the agenda?
The Cabinet convened for its regular session at the Presidential Palace in Baabda at 3:00 pm today, chaired by President Joseph Aoun, with Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and ministers in attendance, to discuss the latest political, security, and humanitarian developments.
Ahead of the session, Presidents Aoun and Salam held a meeting to review recent developments and the overall situation.
The Cabinet is set to discuss an agenda comprising 55 items, including draft laws, memorandums of understanding, proposed legislation, appointments, administrative matters, and draft decrees related to the education sector, in addition to grants and participation in external meetings and conferences.
President Aoun also briefed the Cabinet on the outcomes of his visits to the United States and Turkey, as well as the talks he held with US President Donald Trump and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
