Hot Weekend Ahead as Humidity and Fog Persist

  • Fri June 26 2026 10:12 am

The Forecasting Department at the Lebanese Meteorological Service, under the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, expects humid summer weather to prevail over Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean over the coming days, with temperatures remaining within seasonal averages. Conditions are expected to become relatively hot early next week, particularly in inland areas.

The department also warned of high waves, especially along the northern coast, and the formation of strong water currents over the next two days.

Forecast for Lebanon

Friday: Partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy, with a slight drop in temperatures, although they will remain largely unchanged overall. Relatively high humidity will increase the feeling of heat. Fog is expected to form over mid-altitude mountains from the afternoon onward.

Saturday: Partly to mostly cloudy, with little change in temperatures, although they will rise slightly along the coast. Humidity will remain high, and dense fog is expected to develop at times over mid-altitude areas.

Sunday: Mostly clear to partly cloudy, with temperatures rising in the mountains and inland regions, while remaining nearly unchanged along the coast. Localized fog is expected over mid-altitude mountains from the afternoon.

Monday: Mostly clear to partly cloudy, with temperatures increasing further, especially in mountainous and inland areas, where they will exceed seasonal averages.
