Aoun discusses Washington talks and army support with French Ambassador
President of the Republic Joseph Aoun met with French Ambassador to Lebanon, Hervé Magro, to review the latest developments, focusing on the Lebanese-American-Israeli negotiations in Washington.
The discussions also addressed follow-up on the agreement reached between Aoun and French President Emmanuel Macron to revive efforts toward convening an international conference to support the Lebanese Armed Forces and the Internal Security Forces. The conference had been postponed due to the Israeli war.
Separately, President Aoun met Prime Minister Nawaf Salam ahead of the Cabinet session at the Baabda Palace.
