MP Ali Fayyad said that the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc does not seek confrontation with the authorities or internal conflict, warning of a political track being imposed on Lebanon under Israeli military pressure and U.S. threats.
Speaking at a Hezbollah memorial in Beirut’s Bir Hassan, Fayyad described the government’s negotiating approach as weak and confused, accusing it of making concessions without gains and underestimating risks. He said even Arab and European states backing direct talks had raised serious concerns.
He urged a comprehensive ceasefire as a precondition for any step, rejecting direct contact with Israel and calling instead for indirect negotiations.
