Israeli Military Claims Weapons Seizure and Strike on Hezbollah Members
The Israeli army announced that “over the past 24 hours, forces from the 401st Brigade, under the command of the 146th Division, operated in the Rashaf area in southern Lebanon, where they located around 20 rockets belonging to Hezbollah.”
It added: “In addition, the forces found weapons depots containing Kalashnikov rifles, sniper rifles, and additional military equipment intended for use in attacks against the Israeli army and Israeli civilians. Furthermore, during several targeted operations over the past week, the forces located more than 100 Hezbollah weapons.”
The statement continued: “Yesterday, forces from the 146th Division identified Hezbollah operatives transporting weapons in a vehicle near Israeli forces. In a rapid response, the air force struck and eliminated them under the direction of the division forces.”
It concluded: “The Israel Defense Forces will continue to operate against threats directed at the citizens of the State of Israel and its forces, in accordance with directives from the political leadership.”
