How many displaced people are registered in shelters?
Head of the Disaster Risk Management, Zahi Chahine, and his team presented the latest numbers and updates regarding displacement. He confirmed that more than 25 shelters still have capacity, especially in the North and Akkar, and noted that the governorates are ready to open additional centers if needed. He explained that the number of people registered in shelters has reached over 124,000, while more than 790,000 have self-registered. The government will provide support to them after verifying the lists.
