Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said in a post on X that he addressed workers across the country on the occasion of Labor Day, praising their perseverance despite mounting challenges.
In Labor Day, I extend my message to every working woman and man in Lebanon, to those who rise each morning despite anxiety and hardship, and continue to work under conditions our country has never witnessed before, Salam wrote.
He acknowledged the difficult realities faced by many citizens, including job losses, declining purchasing power, and the daily pressures weighing heavily on workers.
From my position of responsibility, I assure you that we will continue serious efforts to improve your living conditions, restore every inch of our occupied land, advance the reform process, and revive the economy in a way that creates new job opportunities, restores stability, and places the country on a path toward real recovery, he added.
