FPM slams Israeli strikes, warns of escalation
The Free Patriotic Movement strongly denounced Israel's airstrikes on South Lebanon and Beirut’s southern suburbs on the eve of Eid al-Adha, describing them as “blatant acts of barbarity targeting civilians” and a serious threat to Lebanon’s security, stability, and economy—especially ahead of the crucial summer season.
The party warned that such actions mark a dangerous escalation.
The FPM also called the strikes a clear violation of UN Resolution 1701 and urged the international community and ceasefire guarantors to step in, take responsibility, and pressure Israel to halt its aggression and fully withdraw from Lebanese territory.
