Aoun extends Eid al-Adha wishes to the Lebanese
President of the Republic Joseph Aoun wished all Lebanese, in particular Muslims, a happy and holy Eid al-Adha, “a feast that embodies the highest meanings of sacrifice and loyalty.”
President Aoun said: The meanings of this Eid constitute a lesson that calls on us all, Muslims and Christians, to embrace the spirit of sacrifice and giving for the sake of our beloved country, Lebanon, especially since the Eid comes this year while our country faces enormous challenges that require us all to stand united, armed with a strong will and firm determination to advance Lebanon towards a better tomorrow.
Hee added: We must sacrifice our narrow calcualtions for the nation's supreme interests, and adhere to the values of tolerance, brotherhood, and solidarity that have always characterized our Lebanese society. Lebanon, this nation of the message, needs today more than ever the unity and solidarity of its people to build a future worthy of its ancient history and authentic civilization.
