MTV website has learned that four of Lebanese Forces ministers will not attend tomorrow’s Cabinet session.
The decision comes after they sensed deliberate delays in referring the Dahr al-Baidar explosives case to the Judicial Council, as well as a lack of response from Lebanese state administrations to repeated requests by the energy minister to pay their outstanding dues to Électricité du Liban (EDL).
Sources said the ministers’ current position comes from what they see as a clear crisis of priorities. They consider public safety in the explosives case and social security in the electricity file to be two key issues that cannot continue to be met with delays and procrastination.
