Strike Called Off Tomorrow!
The General Confederation of Lebanese Workers and the Land Transport Unions announced the suspension of the strike scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, in order to allow time for the implementation of the government decisions and resolutions that had been reached, and to continue negotiations on the remaining livelihood and labor-related issues.
The announcement was made during a joint press conference attended by General Labor Confederation President Beshara Al-Asmar, Land Transport Sector President Bassam Tleis, representative of fuel distributors and the Gas Station Owners’ Union Fadi Abu Chaqra, as well as a large number of heads of labor and professional federations and unions.
