Saddi to seek cancellation or suspension of LBP 300,000 fuel fee
Energy and Water Minister Joe Saddi said he will ask Cabinet on Thursday to cancel, or at minimum suspend, the LBP 300,000 fee imposed on fuel.
Writing on X, Saddi said the priority should be protecting citizens from additional financial burdens amid the sharp rise in global oil prices and its impact on the local market.
We objected to it from the beginning, Saddi said, adding that the focus now should be on easing pressure on citizens.
