According to MTV sources, Mohammad Reza Sheibani submitted a residency application to the General Directorate of General Security. After the legal department reviewed the application, it granted him a six-month residency permit in his capacity as a former diplomat who served in Lebanon from 2006 to 2009, and not in his role as a current ambassador.
