Lebanon’s Meteorological Department expects relatively hot air masses from the Arabian Peninsula to affect Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean, bringing a rise in temperatures, particularly in mountainous and inland areas, where temperatures will exceed seasonal averages. Temperatures are expected to peak on Friday and remain high through the weekend, with the impact gradually easing starting Sunday.
The department also warned against prolonged exposure to sunlight and the increased risk of wildfires in forested areas.
