The Vatican Backs Lebanon’s Model of Coexistence
According to Nidaa Al Watan sources, President Joseph Aoun’s meeting with Pope Leo XIV carries a clear political dimension. More importantly, the Vatican views Lebanon as more than a battleground or a security issue; it sees it as a political and humanitarian model based on pluralism, balance, and coexistence.
Accordingly, Lebanon’s stability does not simply mean an end to the war, but also protecting the Lebanese model itself and preventing the country from becoming an open arena for regional conflicts.
