The Meteorological Department at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation expects Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean to be affected by a weak low-pressure system centered west of Turkey, bringing moderately cool air masses that will lead to unsettled weather, falling temperatures, and a chance of scattered rain, accompanied by stronger winds and rougher seas.

The department also warned of strong winds and rough seas today and Saturday.

Weather forecast:

Friday: Partly cloudy to cloudy, with dense fog over the mountains and falling temperatures, particularly inland and over the mountains, dropping below seasonal averages. Scattered rain is expected, with a chance of thunderstorms. Winds will also strengthen, occasionally reaching 50 km/h.

Saturday: Partly cloudy with fog over the mountains and rising temperatures inland and over the mountains, while temperatures will remain unchanged along the coast. Winds will be active.

Sunday: Partly cloudy with fog over the mountains and falling temperatures, particularly over the mountains and inland.

Monday: Partly cloudy with fog over the mountains, while temperatures will remain largely unchanged.

Surface winds: Southwesterly during the day and southerly at night, occasionally active, with speeds ranging between 15 and 50 km/h
Visibility: Moderate along the coast, deteriorating over the mountains due to fog
Relative humidity along the coast: 60–80%
Sea conditions: Rough
Sea surface temperature: 29°C
Atmospheric pressure: 1009 hPa, equivalent to 757 mmHg
