Information Minister Paul Morcos awarded certificates to journalists and media professionals from the Ministry of Information and Télé Liban who completed a specialized training program on artificial intelligence organized by Le Cnam Liban.
Speaking at the ceremony, Morcos praised journalists for their role in conveying the truth, particularly amid risks faced by media workers during conflicts. He emphasized that artificial intelligence should be used responsibly and warned against employing it to spread misinformation, distort facts or fuel hatred.
The minister stressed the need for continuous human oversight of AI-generated content to ensure accuracy and credibility, noting that technology remains a tool whose impact depends on how it is used.
The event was attended by Bassam Badran, academic and diplomatic representatives, and concluded with the distribution of certificates to participants who successfully completed the program.
