Salam, US Ambassador Discuss Regional Escalation and Washington Talks
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam met with US Ambassador to Lebanon Michel Issa at the Grand Serail to discuss the escalating situation in the region, its potential repercussions for Lebanon, and preparations for the next round of negotiations in Washington.
During the meeting, Salam reiterated Lebanon’s position that the Lebanese state alone is responsible for representing the country in any negotiations, stressing that no one negotiates on behalf of Lebanon except the Lebanese state.
