Education Minister Rima Karami said the current circumstances are extremely difficult, stressing that the ministry’s role is to ensure the continuity of education despite ongoing challenges.
She noted that the ministry adopted a flexible strategy to deal with the evolving situation, taking into account the particular nature of Lebanon’s education sector, where a large percentage of students are enrolled in private schools compared to public education.
Speaking to Tele Liban during the program Hiwarat Al Saraya, Karami said it was not possible to cancel the official secondary school exams because the certificate is directly tied to students’ university futures.
