Aoun meets Association of Banks delegation
Chairman of the Association of Banks in Lebanon (ABL ) Salim Sfeir, said after meeting with President Joseph Aoun with a delegation from the Association, We reaffirmed our full support for His Excellency the President during this critical phase, and our backing for his national positions aimed at restoring sovereignty, safeguarding national dignity, and preserving stability and security.
Sfeir added, We stressed our support for the national decisions taken by His Excellency the President and the government, in a way that restores the authority of the state, strengthens its control, and reinforces respect for the laws and their enforcement.
Sfeir also noted that they briefed President Aoun on the difficult challenges facing the banking sector, stressing the need for cooperation among the relevant ministries, the Governorship of the Central Bank of Lebanon, and the Association of Banks to address the banking crisis and restore order to financial and banking operations.
