Aoun discusses Lebanese-Syrian with Syrian chargé d’affaires, receives MP Haidar Nasser
President of the Republic Joseph Aoun received Syrian chargé d’affaires in Lebanon Iyad al-Hazzaa and discussed bilateral relations between Lebanon and Syria across various sectors.
Aoun also met MP Haidar Nasser, who said after the meeting that his visit reaffirmed support for the state and rejection of any internal strife.
Nasser stressed that, regardless of differing views over the form of negotiations, efforts to secure a ceasefire and rebuild the state require national unity and support for Lebanese initiatives aimed at ending hostilities and advancing state-building in line with the president’s inaugural address.
