Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri welcomed at the second presidency headquarters in Ain al-Tineh, Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Walid Bukari who came on a farewell visit upon winding his diplomatic mission in the country.
The visit was an occasion to discuss the current general situation and bilateral relations between Lebanon and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Speaker Berri also received Sri Lankan Ambassador to Lebanon Anura Withanage who came on a courtesy visit upon his assumption of his diplomatic duties in the country.
The discussion between the pair touched on the general situation and the bilateral relations between the two countries.
Berri later met with Minister of National Education and Higher Education, Rima Karami, with whom he discussed the general situation and recent developments, particularly the field updates, in light of Israel's continued aggression against Lebanon and the South, and its repercussions on the educational sector.
Minister Karami briefed Speaker Berri on the ministry's plans and programs for the current phase.
Berri also met with Vice Speaker Elias Bou Saab, with whom he discussed the latest political and field developments, as well as legislative affairs, particularly the progress of discussions on the general amnesty draft law.
