Interior Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar reviewed the functioning of civil registry departments whose records were transferred to Beirut to protect them from Israeli bombardment.
During a meeting with civil registry officials from Nabatieh, Marjayoun, Tyre, Meiss El Jabal, Jouaiyya, Jbaa and Tebnine, Al-Hajjar discussed mechanisms adopted to process citizens’ transactions, particularly for displaced residents, as well as challenges linked to maintaining administrative services.
He stressed the need to provide maximum facilitation and ensure transactions are completed as quickly as possible under the current circumstances.
Al-Hajjar also affirmed that the ministry would secure all necessary requirements to guarantee continuity of public services and praised the dedication of employees handling citizens’ affairs and essential administrative needs.
