Zouk Mosbeh Mayor denounces rumors, calls for public caution
Zouk Mosbeh Mayor Elie Saber issued the following statement:
“Some social media pages circulated a post containing serious allegations against a citizen, claiming he rented apartments in Zouk Mosbeh to members of political parties and others under the cover of a local political authority.
The Municipality of Zouk Mosbeh stresses that this information is fabricated and falls within rumors intended to stir confusion among residents.
The municipality also confirms that the police, the gendarmerie, and the relevant security agencies are fully carrying out their duties, monitoring any security issue or violation within legal frameworks and in coordination with the concerned authorities.
The municipality emphasizes the importance of not succumbing to rumors or incitement, as doing so exposes individuals to legal accountability and threatens public peace in the area.
The Municipality of Zouk Mosbeh is committed to the town’s security, stability, and the safety of its residents, and calls on everyone to act responsibly and report or inquire about any matter exclusively through the municipality.”
