Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri issued a statement condemning Israel’s overnight attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran, calling it a blatant violation of international law, national sovereignty, and regional stability. He described the strike as part of Israel’s ongoing aggressive wars across Gaza, Lebanon, and now Iran, asserting that Israel’s political, military, and security conduct constitutes a cross-border threat to global peace.
Expressing full solidarity with Iran’s leadership, people, and revolution, Berri extended condolences to the families of those killed in the strike and wished a speedy recovery to the wounded. He called on the international community to urgently intervene and halt what he described as Israel’s relentless aggression, which he said undermines not only human life and international law but also the prospects for a just and lasting peace in the Middle East.
