Naim Qassem's First Statement After Attacks on Iran
Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem strongly condemned the Israeli airstrikes on Iran, calling them a 'criminal act' backed by the United States. In a statement issued after the attack, Qassem warned that the aggression 'will not pass without a response and punishment,' and said it threatens the stability of the entire region.
He reaffirmed Hezbollah’s full support for Iran’s right to defend itself and praised the Islamic Republic as a 'symbol of dignity and resistance.' Qassem also offered condolences for the reported deaths of senior Iranian military leaders and nuclear scientists, asserting that their martyrdom would only strengthen Iran’s resolve.
He concluded by stressing that Hezbollah remains firmly committed to its alliance with Iran and its path of resistance.
