UNIFIL patrol intercepted in Srifa in protest against Army escort absence
Several young men intercepted a UNIFIL patrol on the main road in the town of Srifa as it was en route to the Wadi al-Slouqi area, protesting against the absence of any Lebanese Army escort, with no significant incidents reported.
An army patrol later arrived at the scene and worked to resolve the situation and restore things to normal.
Previously, a large UNIFIL mechanized patrol entered the Wadi al-Slouqi area also without Army support.
