Minister of Labor, Mohammad Haidar, left Beirut for Geneva this morning, heading an official delegation to partake in the 113th session of the International Labor Conference.
Minister Haidar is expected to deliver Lebanon's speech at the conference, presenting the condition of the Lebanese labor market in light of the worsening economic and social challenges, particularly the ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon.
He will also hold meetings with the Director-General of the International Labor Organization and the Director-General of the Arab Labor Organization, and will submit an official report documenting the attacks and violations committed by the Israeli enemy against Lebanese regions, and their repercussions on the labor market and workers' rights in Lebanon.
Haider will also hold a series of bilateral meetings with his counterparts from several Arab and foreign countries to discuss ways of joint cooperation and exchange of expertise in the fields of labor, vocational training, social protection, and labor market regulation.
Minister Haidar will be received at Geneva Airport by Lebanon's Ambassador to the United Nations Salim Badoura, along with members of the Lebanese mission to the United Nations.
