Aoun: Disputes are solved through dialogue, and no one wants war
UAE Federal National Council President Saqr Ghobash affirmed to Lebanese President Joseph Aoun the commitment of UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed to Lebanon's unity and to building a national state that brings together all components of the Lebanese people, as well as to strengthening ties between the two countries.
In turn, President Aoun stated that Lebanese-Emirati relations are deeply rooted, adding: I look forward to my visit to Abu Dhabi to meet Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and open a new chapter in relations between the two countries. We face major challenges, foremost among them reconstruction, with support from brotherly nations.
He continued, Any contentious issue can be resolved through dialogue, and no one in Lebanon wants a return to war. I’m optimistic because the determination and will are there.
