President Joseph Aoun broaches developments with PM Salam
President of the Republic Joseph Aoun afternoon met with Prime Minister Nawaf Salam at Baabda Palace.
Discussions reportedly focused on the general situation in the country, developments in the south, and the topics included on the agenda of upcoming Cabinet’s session on Thursday.
Following the one-hour meeting, Premier Salam departed Baabda Palace without making any statement.
On the other hand, President Aoun received at Baabda Palace a delegation from the Antonine University, chaired by its President Father Michel Saghbiny.
The delegation congratulated President Aoun on his presidential election, and wished him all success in steering the country toward stability and security.
