President Aoun meets with US General ahead of Naqoura Committee meeting
A meeting is being held at Baabda Palace between President Joseph Aoun and General Jasper Jeffers, head of the Ceasefire Monitoring Committee, in the presence of US Ambassador to Lebanon Lisa Johnson.
Ahead of the committee’s session in Naqoura this afternoon, President Aoun urged Jeffers to press Israel to fully implement the ceasefire agreement, withdraw from the five occupied hills, and return Lebanese detainees.
