Rajji broaches developments with French Ambassador, receives credentials of new Vietnamese Ambassador
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Youssef Rajji met in his office with French Ambassador to Lebanon, Hervé Magro, with whom he held a tour d’horizon on the current situation in Lebanon, the latest developments in Syria, and the outcomes of his visits to Riyadh, Cairo, and Amman.
The discussion also covered the efforts made by France to support Lebanon and help in reconstruction issue.
Minister Rajji reiterated the necessity of exerting all possible pressure on Israel to compel it to withdraw immediately and unconditionally from all Lebanese territories it occupies, and to halt its attacks and violations of Lebanese sovereignty.
On the Syrian issue, Minister Rajji stressed that The unity, stability and territorial integrity of Syria are a Lebanese interest.
For his part, Ambassador Magro stressed France's firm commitment to supporting Lebanon and helping it overcome its crises.
On the other hand, Minister Rajji received a copy of the credentials of the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Lebanon, Nguyen Huy DUNG.
