LHF allocates 30 million dollars to address urgent needs in conflict-affected areas

The Humanitarian Coordinator for Lebanon, Imran Riza, has announced a $30 million allocation from the Lebanon Humanitarian Fund (LHF) to address urgent humanitarian needs stemming from the recent conflict and support displaced populations and communities returning to affected areas.

Even during the height of the conflict, the Lebanon Humanitarian Fund and other pooled funds were among the first to respond, providing emergency assistance during an extraordinarily challenging time, said Imran Riza.

Beyond the devastating human toll, the recent conflict has caused extensive destruction to civilian infrastructure, crippling basic services such as healthcare, water, and sanitation, and leaving countless communities in urgent need of assistance.

This new allocation provides a vital lifeline, enabling support to both those returning to damaged infrastructure and those who remain displaced with timely and effective aid.

This $30.7 million allocation will enable partners, including local NGOs and community-based organizations, to deliver targeted assistance in food security, shelter, nutrition, protection, healthcare, water and sanitation, and education. It will also prioritize localized, community-driven responses to ensure the most vulnerable populations are reached.
