Berri calls joint Committee meeting on building violations, technology ministry
Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri has called for a joint meeting of the parliamentary committees on Finance and Budget, Administration and Justice, and Public Works, Transport, Energy, Water and Information Technology at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 9, 2026.
The meeting will examine a proposed amendment to Article 19 of Law No. 319/2019, concerning the regularization of building violations committed between September 13, 1971, and December 31, 2018.
The committees will also continue reviewing a draft law referred under Decree No. 1286, proposing the establishment of a Ministry of Technology and Artificial Intelligence in Lebanon.
