Kataeb Party chief and Swedish Ambassador discuss situation in Lebanon and region
Kataeb Party leader, MP Samy Gemayel, on Thursday received Swedish Ambassador to Lebanon, Tomas Brundin, at the Kataeb’s central house in Saifi, for a courtesy visit, during which they discussed the political situation in Lebanon, regional developments, and their implications for stability in the region.
The meeting took place in the presence of Head of Kataeb Party’s Foreign Relations Department, Marwan Abdullah, and department member Maurice Bou Zerdan.
According to a statement, the meeting addressed Lebanese-Swedish relations and ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, in addition to the challenges facing Lebanon amid the current circumstances and the importance of supporting its stability and institutions and strengthening the foundations of the state.
There was emphasis on the importance of communication and dialogue between Lebanon and friendly countries in a manner that contributes to consolidating bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
