The director of Hiram Hospital, Dr. Salman Edeibi, stated that the airstrike which targeted buildings in the vicinity of the hospital resulted in 12 hospital staff members being lightly injured, due to flying glass and debris.
He added that some windows and doors inside hospital rooms were damaged, in addition to broken glass in cars parked in the hospital yard. He also noted that 4 injured people were transferred to the hospital after being wounded in the strike.
During the response, as a team from the Tyre Civil Defense center was heading to carry out a humanitarian mission to evacuate the wounded from the area near the targeted building close to the hospital, one paramedic was injured in the hand, underwent surgery, and his condition is now stable.
