'The Voice of Truth and Justice'… MTV's New Radio Project

  • Fri May 29 2026 8:41 am

MTV Lebanon is preparing to launch yet another media platform aimed at giving a voice to free and sovereign-minded Lebanese: MFM, a new political radio station set to broadcast on frequency 101.5. Beginning daily at 6:00 AM, the station promises to accompany listeners throughout the day, whether during Beirut’s endless traffic jams, long commutes, or quick morning drives, with a mix of news, talk shows, music, and live coverage.

But before diving into the details of MFM itself, which I'm sure many are already eager to discover, it is only fair to introduce the young face leading the project, who's no other than our very own Ralph Doumit.

Known to MTV viewers as one of the channel’s most passionate reporters and presenters, Doumit has spent more than a decade covering major political, social, heartbreaking, and at times hopeful events, both locally and internationally. Whether reporting from the streets during moments of national tension or presenting stories that resonated with viewers on a more human level, he gradually built a reputation as one of the familiar faces of the institution. Today, he adds yet another milestone to an already successful journey, this time from behind the microphone as the head of MFM.

The idea behind MFM was born more than a year ago as part of MTV Lebanon’s broader media expansion and political editorial path. The station joins the group’s growing list of platforms, including MTV Lebanon’s website, Nidaa Al Watan, The Beiruter, ONE FM, and ONE TV. The goal is not only to create another radio station, but to establish a modern, fast-paced platform capable of keeping listeners constantly connected to the latest developments.

In practical terms, MFM will also broadcast MTV’s news bulletins and headlines live on radio, allowing people stuck in traffic or on the road to stay updated in real time. In parallel, the station will feature podcasts, interactive programs, and live-streamed content available through MTV’s digital platforms.
The concept revolves around introducing a more modern and up-to-date style of radio broadcasting, one that blends traditional radio with digital media consumption habits. Programs are being designed primarily for radio listeners, while also being streamed live on MTV’s website, creating a hybrid experience between classic broadcasting and online media.

MFM is officially set to launch on June 1, with several familiar MTV faces joining the station’s lineup. The station will remain in a trial broadcast phase, as part of its gradual rollout. The administration opted largely to rely on talents from within the institution itself, whether in production, logistics, technical operations, or program hosting, reinforcing the project’s identity as an extension of the MTV family.
As for the programming lineup, listeners can expect a packed schedule beginning with a morning show hosted by three well-known media personalities already familiar to MTV audiences. The station will feature both morning and afternoon programs, with additional broadcasts during peak traffic hours to keep listener's company with breaking news updates, trending discussions, engaging conversations, and a much-needed dose of positivity.

Around 17 programs are expected to air on the station, alongside MTV news bulletins, political shows, live coverage, and broadcasts of Lebanese Basketball Championship games. A continuous news feed will also provide regular updates throughout the day.

The station’s identity is reflected in its slogan, “The Voice of Truth and Justice,” a phrase closely aligned with MTV Lebanon’s long-standing political positioning and will be directed toward sovereign and independent-minded Lebanese audiences. The station aims to speak to those who continue to believe in a stronger state, functioning institutions, the rule of law, freedom of expression, and a Lebanon protected by its army and built on stability rather than chaos.

What may ultimately distinguish MFM from other political radio stations is the media machine already standing behind it. From experienced journalists and field reporters to producers, sound engineers, designers, and technical teams, the station enters the scene backed by MTV’s already established infrastructure and years of newsroom experience.

For MTV Lebanon, MFM represents more than just a radio frequency added to the market. It is another attempt to expand its media presence into every possible platform Lebanese audiences consume daily.
And for listeners? It might just become the new voice accompanying them through Lebanon’s roads, traffic, breaking news alerts, and everyday entertainment on 101.5.
