Minassian heads to Iraq on first pastoral visit to Archdiocese of Baghdad
The Media Office of the Armenian Catholic Patriarchate of Cilicia announced in a statement that Catholicos Patriarch of Cilicia for Armenian Catholics, Raphaël Bedros XXI Minassian, departed Beirut this afternoon for Iraq on his first pastoral visit to the Archeparchy of Baghdad, which will continue until June 1.
The statement noted that the visit’s program includes a series of official, spiritual, and pastoral meetings. On Friday, the Patriarch is scheduled to participate in the enthronement ceremony of the newly elected Patriarch Paul III Nona, Patriarch of the Chaldean Church, in an ecclesiastical occasion reflecting the deep communion and unity among the Eastern Churches.
