Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Youssef Raggi received a phone call from his Norwegian counterpart, Espen Barth Eide, during which the latter expressed his country's firm solidarity with Lebanon and its people during this extremely difficult period.
Minister Eide also emphasized that Norwegian organizations are fully ready to provide all necessary support and assistance.
The Norwegian Foreign Minister also expressed deep concern over the current developments in Lebanon, hoping that the state succeeds in restoring its stability and fully asserting its sovereignty across all its territories.
The call provided an opportunity for Minister Raggi to explain to his Norwegian counterpart the official Lebanese position, particularly the recent government decision to ban the military and security activities of Hezbollah, stressing the Lebanese government's determination to do everything in its power to protect Lebanon from any further escalation.
