Israeli Army Says Military Equipment Discovered in South Lebanon
Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee announced the following on X:
“During the past week, and as part of the forward defence plan in the southern Lebanon area, forces from the 769th Brigade of the 91st Division detected a cell of Hezbollah operatives. An air force aircraft then targeted the terrorist cell and eliminated its members. Shortly afterward, another individual was detected in the area and was also eliminated by the forces.
The forces also found in the area a stockpile of combat equipment that included explosive devices, light weapons, radio devices, and ammunition. The presence of operatives inside villages is yet another example of the cynical exploitation of civilian infrastructure for ‘terrorist’ purposes by Hezbollah.
The Israeli army will continue working to strengthen the forward defence line, prevent the expansion of Hezbollah’s capabilities, and stop its reconstruction.”
