Jumblatt condemns Israeli strikes on Syria
Former Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblatt, has condemned in a statement the recent Israeli airstrikes on Syrian territory, including areas around Damascus on Friday night.
Jumblatt described these attacks as a blatant violation of Syria's sovereignty and warned that such actions undermine efforts to advance a political solution in coordination with President Ahmad Al-Sharaa.
Jumblatt called on Arab countries and the international community to support Syria in rebuilding the state, securing its future, and protecting its territory and citizens.
He also urged increased pressure on Israel to halt its ongoing violations and end its occupation of parts of Syrian territory.
