Political sources are raising concerns about an attempt to pass a decree that would promote assistant monitors (Category 4) to monitors (Category 3) in the Customs Administration—despite the fact that six years have passed since the competition results were approved by the Cabinet. According to Article 8, Paragraph 7 of the Civil Service Law, such promotions must happen within two years, after which the list of successful candidates becomes invalid.
It's also important to note that multiple legal appeals challenging the results of that competition are still being reviewed by the State Council, the Central Inspection Authority, the Public Prosecutor’s Office, and the Presidential Palace.
