President Aoun leaves to Rome to attend the funeral of late Pope Francis
President of the Republic Joseph Aoun and First Lady, Mrs. Nehmat Aoun, left Lebanon heading to Rome to attend the funeral ceremony of His Holiness Pope Francis at the Vatican.
Lebanon had declared three days of mourning following the news of the Pope's passing, as an expression of grief and appreciation for the noble stances taken by the late Pope in support of Lebanon and its just causes at international forums. He had emphasized Lebanon's uniqueness and the importance of its continued existence as a testimony to the human message to the world.
