Photos: Eid al-Fitr prayer at Roumieh Prison
The Public Relations Division of the Internal Security Forces issued the following statement:
Under the patronage of the Prisoners and Their Families Care Authority, affiliated with Dar Al-Fatwa in the Lebanese Republic, the Eid al-Fitr prayer and sermon were held on the first day of Eid at Roumieh Prison on March 30, 2025.
In his sermon, Sheikh Walid Zahra, the Secretary of the Authority and religious teacher in the prisons, emphasized the importance of adhering to religious values, adopting honesty as a core principle, self-reflection and repentance, in addition to patience and wisdom as gateways to salvation in life's crises.
Following the prayer, sweets were distributed to the inmates in celebration of the occasion.
