Salam: Government Formation is a Priority, Urges Immediate Israeli Withdrawal
Prime Minister-designate Nawaf Salam affirmed, “We will work around the clock to form the government and launch the necessary rescue efforts, and the outlook is extremely promising.”
After meeting with President Joseph Aoun at Baabda Palace, Salam stated, “What unites us is the Constitution and the National Pact, and we will not delay forming a government.”
He added, “: I stressed to Macron that the Israeli withdrawal must happen immediately, without any delay, as even an hour's postponement threatens the country's stability, and the entire international community must exert pressure in this direction.”
Salam further emphasized, “We rely on France’s support not only for a conference to rebuild Lebanon but also for reviving previously unimplemented projects. Additionally, we value France’s technical assistance to modernize laws and enhance the functioning of institutions.”
