Indonesian Ambassador to Lebanon Hajriyanto Yasin Thohari visited Mayor of Byblos Wissam Zaarour, at the municipality to exchange greetings and discuss Lebanon's current affairs.
During the meeting, attended by council members, Thohari emphasized the strong ties between the Lebanese and Indonesian peoples and noted the annual $100 million worth of Lebanese imports from Indonesia, underscoring robust trade relations.
He also highlighted the contribution of 1,300 Indonesian peacekeepers serving in UNIFIL in southern Lebanon, calling it a testament to the enduring partnership.
Zaarour expressed gratitude for the ambassador’s initiative to organize an Indonesian festival in Byblos, welcoming further cultural collaboration.
